maybe my tuner is just an idiot then because he says thats how its suppose to be feeling. So should i just have him add some TM? My 1-2 shift was hard even before i had the shift kit installed so idk.

Is the 1->2 shift hard all the time WOT and Part-Throttle? Is the 2->3 shift jarring or hard at WOT and Part-Throttle?

At part throttle yes, But at WOT on the 1-2 shift it doesnt feel super hard it just shifts and spins for a second and keeps going. 2-3 is hard and firm but not like the 1-2. I forgot he also said he put in the 1-2 aluminum accumulator piston if that makes a difference..

you could try decrease the lower TQ areas of your 1->2 shift pressures table, but not the upper since the WOT is ok... You will need to log Delivered Eng. TQ (i think it is that one) and note the TQ areas where the shift is harsh and decrease those areas, in small amounts...

Remember transmission tuning is done is very small amounts, then drive and log the results, then repeat until you like it. Changing only 1 parameter at a time.

Yep, and all the cheap torque converter clutchs wouldnt ever hold.. But a Yank TT3000 never gave me a bit of trouble and i towed some heavy crap.

but now with the 4L80E, i put a bit of TM back in on the 1-2 shift so it is just a nice firm hit. no TM and it spins pretty good.
One day im goin to put the stock accumulators back in it and see if it helps..

Did he install any spacers in the 1-2 accumulator? If he did how many?

I will have to check with him. Sorry guys for not having certain answers for you, I just gave him my parts and let him do his work since he does this all the time..
Pretty much all i know is he installed the HD-2, Vette servo, and 1-2 accumulator, he said the shift kit basically has 3 different levels to put it on and he put it on the 3rd level. And all line pressure is turned down. And he told me it would soften up if i put a converter in. But i can give him a call today or tomorrow to see about spacers.

If your shift is getting or is softer then he did not zero out yoru Desired Shift times tables... Which is usually always done, zeroing out the table disables Adaptive shift learning... The reason you want to do this is because the shift kit will increase your shift speed mechanically, the adaptive shift learning measures how long the shift takes and compares it to the Desired shift times table.. If it is faster (like it would be with a shift kit) it will decrease the tranny pressures and if it is slower (like a worn out trans would be) it will increase the tranny pressure...

Sooooooooooo, with all that said, your tranny pressure will keep getting lowered due to the adaptive shift learning....

Ask him if he zeroed out that table.
