Default shift kit question

ok if the tranny is out and on its back (upside down) and i pull the valve body and seperator plate will the check ***** go everywhere?? does it have to be up right so the ***** sit in the valve body??

Yes the ytans will need to be pan up to avoid the check ***** from going all over the place.

When reinstalling checkballs wit teh trasn in the truck, you put a gob of vaseline around a checkball and tehn stuff the Vaseline/checkball gob into the correct hole. The Vaseline holds the ball until you can bolt on the valvebody. The heat melts the Vaseline and teh checkball operates correctly.

The transmission needs to be level. Either installed in the truck so that the checkballs sit in the valvebody, or upsidedown so that the checkballs rest on the spacer plate. If its upright or tilted to much, they will go everywhere.
