Default Shift kit and parts help?

Hey guys, so I my granny blew up completely. Shifted like an CVT tranny at WOT. Anyways I don't really wanna spend the money to do a built tranny (and it maybe a little to much) so I'm going with a full complete rebuild. So I and going to add my shift kit and other parts while it was rebuilt. Anyways, I wanna know what shift kit you guys recommend because I had the Transgo Hd2 kit. But I head a lot of good things about the sonnax kit. Anyways any other parts while I'm out with it you guys recommended?

Now that weve calarified you arent blowing granny up... sonnax performance pack, the 2-3 hd shift valve, and the transgo spring kit are good upgrades, while it is apart.... My truck shifts into 4th quite firmly compared to what it used to do and downshifts are a lot firmer as well.... Are you doing this yourself or someone else doing the work.... If you can swing it hardened input and output shaft and the sonnax input drum are highly recommended, along with the gm 5 pinion planetaries!!!

I actually found this old post, and feel like it's a good idea! What do y'all think?

Can I install a Sonnax shift kit in addition to the TransGo HD2 kit? - Chevy Impala SS Forum

Its a waste of money to buy both kits.... Both adress similar problens differently... Get the sonnax performance pack and the transgo cs-7( i think it is) spring kit.... And the sonnax hd 2-3 valve and youll be good to go.... Mixing both kits is redundant and if not done properly can lead to more harm than good....
