Got my transgo hd2 kit going in the tranny this weekend. So far it hasnt been too bad just long tedious and messy. I am taking my time and double checking every thing. The only thing I am questionable about is this boost valve with new springs and valve, they do not show really well how its supposed to be put in, I know for one thing the spring was so stiff I needed a bottle jack to push it up into the bore and hold it while I put the snap ring in. Any other things I should look for? It is going back together today and I am praying all goes well.

just ******* great, I got it all back together and guess what it wont shift into reverse or drive. i dont know what the hell to do now

 

did you put the manual valve back in correctly?

 

I am not quite sure what the manual valve is or looks like. The directions leave alot to be desired

you put fluid in right?

 

ya I added about 10 quarts of 5w30......naw just kidding. I filled it with tranny fluid let it idel and checked it and if was fine. I am having one of my boss's friends who own a tranny shop come down and check it out. I work at a machine shop and my boss knows alot of people so I am not completely fucked. My guess is its not building pressure and its bypassing some where. Did you have a tough time getting that boost valve back in because of the new springs like I did?

 

it was a little awkward but I had no issues with the boost valve. The accumulator piston was a little tricky though with that heavy *** spring, but still wasn't too bad.

 

The accumulator seemed to go in very easy even with that big spring, I held it up put the bolts in and sucked it in with the bolts
