Just picked up my truck with the new Transgo and servos mod. How firm is too firm? Does it "break in".
Right now the 1-2 shift chirps my 32" tires without any effort. Is too firm hard on other parts? The 2-3 is not as brutal.

Did you use any washers on the servo or 1/2 accumulator. You might want to rethink that if you did. Chirpin tires with a 60e will put you back in the shop if you can't go easy in it. Mine will bark 2nd , but I baby my 1/2 shift for daily driving. I sprayed the hell out of my truck on the stock 60e. 13k, I got it rebuilt, transgo hd2, 1 washer on acc. , no washers on servo. It shifted very firm for the first 2500 miles, then mellowed a little. I have 23k on it now. fluid looks great and shifts fine. Sometimes I wish I had took that washer out right after the rebuild , then other times I enjoy watching the look on the young kids face in the other lane when I pull on him and chirp em!
Hope this helps.

I didthe bigger hole too , just didn't mention it cause his kit is already installed. You do aggree with no acc. washers on a fresher trans right?

We backed off the (line pressure) 1-2 shift a little, to the point where its a good solid shift into second and increased the 2-3 to where i can feel it a little.
About how firm is good/not good? I mean if it shifts too firm am i risking damaging something?
