Default Gear and tire

i have 4.10 on my truck i heard the going from 265/70/17 to 285-295/70/17 can get you higher mpg but it will be slower, will this only be for highway or city too? I have seen some charts for gears and 32-33s are best but i dont know if thats highway or city or both any of you guys have any idea?
