Default Shackles & Hangers vs. Drop Leafs

I have an 06 ECSB 1500. I am dropping it 2/4 with helper bags in the rear. That's the given. What I want to know, that I haven't found much info on, is what to expect out of 2" drop leafs.

The truck is a DD + Hauling once a month, but I also want to have fun with it. I was on track to buy a new Challenger, but I decided to put that off for a bit, we have a new kid on the way, new building for business, etc.

I'm not really into drag racing, so I'd like to focus on handling. I am buying sway bars, McGaughy's spindles, shocks, helper bags, etc.

How much different would the ride be on new leaf springs? Would it handle better/tighter and also still be reasonable enough to drive 2 young kids around, or are they pretty stiff and bumpy?

Also, for the front, I am pretty much set on spindles, but if I do the leafs in the rear, would it be wise to do coils in the front instead to stiffen up all 4 corners?

Not looking for a track truck, but definitely want to cut up some curvy roads

I think the drop leafs will ride worse, you won't be able to haul as much either.

Drop spindles and shackles/hangers is the way to go for a 2/4 drop.

Shackles and remove the blocks, will drop you alot. probably more than 4", I didnt measure. just did it then dropped front via torsion bar adjuster until front was .5" lower than rear.
Either buy the shorter U bolts or hit Home depot and find a big *** nut that just slips over your ubolts and use them as spacers.
Cost me less than 5$ to remove my blocks.
This also didnt affect my pinion angle enough to need shims, i have zero vibrations.
You will probably want a set of caltracs soon also. sometimes I think I can feel the axle wrapping up during shifts.
If you are 2wd, defiantly go with quality spindles.

You will need to cut half of your bump stops off as it will be sitting on them.
I cut 3/4 off mine for more travel before hitting them.

Ride quality stayed the same in rear.
front got alil rough as its sitting harder on the bump stops.
I will be moving them higher up on the frame to give some clearance and return ride quality to stock.
