Question 6L80 2wd vs. 6L80 AWD differences?

My 2008 Escalade is a 2wd 6l80, the transmission recently blew up and I was able to source one from a buddy locally for cheap. Only thing is his is a 6L80 from a 2008 AWD Escalade.

The transfercase is still connected, but my question is can I just unbolt the TC, and replace it with the tailshaft from my 2wd and install in my truck?? Or is there more to it?

Thanks in advance.

I think the shaft is the same... Just unbolt the TC and measure from the mounting surface to the end of the shaft on both to see if shaft is the same length. I think all trucks are the same and the camaro's and CVTS are different.
