Default Servo Question

Is it ok to just install a servo and no shift kit or should a shift kit be installed around the same time as the servo? Also, where should I purchase the servo from? thanks

You can install the servo by itself. Any tranny shop can order the vette servo its a gm part. You can install either whenever you want.

Thanks.....This along with a Converter will be my next mod. I just don't know if I should go with the 2600 or 3000 Yank. I want to go with the 3000 but I don't know how it will act when pulling a 24 foot Bay Boat or a 95 Trans Am.

The Vette servo is a great upgrade all by itself. I have it along with a billet OD servo and love it. The only thing i've noticed is its a little harsh on the 1-2 shift in tow/haul mod when under part throttle.
