I have heard that they are valved softly. I dont have any personal experience though. I plan on getting a new set of shocks sometime in the future and I have heard good things about Rancho RSX's. They say they are a little more stiffly valved. You could go with a set of click adjustable Ranchos so you could dial it in just the way you want it.

I would have thought they were stiffer valved because of the way my truck rides. I'm going to shop around and see what I can dig up. Some adjustable shocks would be nice, then I could dial them the way I want them like you said.
