Just had another thought on this. If I need the shock to compress 3.68" to achieve my desired ride height, instead of using a spring rate that would compress by 3.68" (a 380 lb spring), couldn't I use a spring rate that would compress maybe 2" (650 lb)? And simply lower my spring perch by 1.68"?

Considering i would only have 2.62" of bump travel, i should use a higher spring rate like the 650 lbs to keep from bottoming out?

Also, since this will AFFECT my alignment. I fear i will run out of adjustment to bring camber/caster within spec. I am considering some offset UCA bushings to allow for more adjustment.

Just about ready to order my ride tech coilovers for my 2001 Silverado. Reading through this thread again to make sure I order correctly had one question. This setup mentioned that it will give you a 3 inch drop, is that at full adjustment or starting? Since its a coilover is it a 1-3 inch adjustment or 3-5 inch adjustment for drop?

There's less usable "adjustment" than people think with a Coilover. You really only want to run it with the shock about at the center of its travel. So if it has 3" of travel from fully collapsed to fully extended, then the 1.5" mark at the center is where you should set it to ride. There will be a lot more math and adjusting involved but that will get you close.

Right now I have a 2-3 inch drop on the front of my truck and want to stay the same just with the coilovers, do I take the measurements now where I sit to make sure I get the correct length?

You may want heavier. I'm running a 1300lb spring and I think atomic is running about that too.

Ya 800 was a touch soft, so I went to 900's before I changed it again...

Was 900 a good ride? I should be good with that setup right?
