Default Ride Control

My new VMAX has the button on the dash for the selective ride control. Im wonding if I can change shocks when i lower in the rear without any problems. Its seems that my shocks now have a electrical plug on them so what will that do to the truck by unplugging them and adding aftermarket shocks.?

I also need the part number for the solid filler piece that covers the cubby hole under the center air vent in the dash.

Your shocks are ride adjustable and disconnecting them will set a code. Is your truck an extended cab short box? I would like to know what the GVRW sticker on the drivers door says.
Thanks

I would think that disconnecting anything to do with ride control will set a code, it did on my 92 Corvette, but check with the shop foreman at your local dealer. He will know. Could you tell me what your sticker says anyway.
Thanks
Jim

Since you're dropping it, have you looked into a high-performance adjustable shock?

Well i think my truck is similar to yours in the arae of the suspension since i have the torsion bar setup.

I am going to be changing to 2 inch spindles in the front which will work with the stock shocks no problem.

In the rear i removed the 2 inch block, and will be adding a 2 inch shackle. I figured i could get away with just a shock extender in the back.

What shocks would you recomend?
