Default Recommend me a tranny!!!

Alright fellas, my tranny finally took a ****! Not suprising... Its a rebuild with about 4k miles on it. It just started slipping 2nd real bad... What tranny should I go with on this truck, mods are in my sig. Also what stall do y'all recommend! I'll be mostly street in the truck with occasional weekend track use. It has 3.42 gears in her... Once this 5.3 craps out on me I'll be building a 6.0 for it. Thanks for talks opinions!

do some searches on performabuilt and FLT for the trans. i run performabuilt as well as a few friends and 100% of us have nothing but great things to say. the customer service frank offers cannot be beat. the same goes for FLT. for the converter i would stick with circle d, yank or PI. i went with circle d since they are local and chris has given me great service as well as a great performing converter.

I had Circle D built me a transmission and it is exactly what I paid for. It was expensive but the performance and customer service was/is exceptional. Lots of ponies in a 6000 pound truck calls for a superior product. That's what I believe I have. Call Glen, would be my suggestion. They even kept my truck a few extra days and worked with my tuner to get everything perfect. 7 months and 5000 miles not an issue and I drive it aggressively whenever I'm in it.

I was surprised to hear a vendor that isnt afraid to mention a compeditors options with positive results. a few well known converter companies (no names lol) i called around to talked crap about each other lol.

I've been thinking about just pulling it and replacing the 2-4 bands and putting in a transgo shift kit while I'm in there... Being it's so fresh of a rebuild wouldn't that be the only thing I need to replace?? I'll get the hi energy bands to take there place.. Tranny experts please chime in on this! I've never rebuilt a transmission but I'm sure I can figure it out... Moneys a little tight right now. I figure I fix the problem and next time around just go all out and throw in a good one.

A gm tech built it. He gave me a 6 mos. Warranty. It was a damn good transmission and has held up great against this procharger. It was just built to stock specs and we all know there not that tough...
