Default Rear suspension...

Ok, after many days of massive search efforts, I'm now tired of searching. I'd like to get an idea of what I want to do and have it in my own thread so I don't have to search any more

Rear suspension...

I'm going to be lowering the rear some more this winter, 2" drop hangers and will be modifying my dtr81 trac bars to work with those. I also want to relocate my shocks something like txsilverado did.

What rear shocks do you all suggest. Rancho, QA1, 50/50's...any part numbers or measurements you all can give me are greatly appreciated. Thanks

When i bought my QA1 shocks, you needed to measure them at ride height to determine which ones you need. so if your gonna move them, then you will have to wait to order them until everything is complete.

Ok, that makes since. So how will I mesure? Just eyelet to eyelet? I see lots of info when looking at shocks that mean absolutely nothing to me.

So now say I leave them in the stock location...Surely people will have part numbers for that

You can figure out what valving you need or a split valving like my race car and get some racing shocks like what I have and use them. Their like 45-50 bucks

Plus what I like about the shocks I run on my car is that there's several different valvings and you can run a 3 compression valaving and a 6 rebound valving that will let the rear end compress easier than it will rebound. And since the different types of valve shocks that have heim ends that you can do a lot of testing with different shocks
