I perfer a gasket.. but have used RTV more times. the black or copper color is suggested for them.

I got a chance to put it up on the lift at work nd saw that there is a gasket there now. I was able to find one for sale on the autozone website, hopefully its a match. If not RTV it is, however I prefer a gasket also.
