ok guys, i asked this on LS1TECH and they told me to ask here, so here it goes..... ive been wanting to buy a trailblazer ss for some time now, and due to the fact that i live in chicago i wanted the AWD one, but also, i woul dlike to mod it a lil bit maybe mid to low 12's just to have my fun.... so my question is, How stong is the AWD drive trans in there, and how much power will it hold, remember this is also gonna be my daily driver too.....
thanks

It is the 4l70e, which is a stronger version of the 4l60e but not by much. With proper tuning I'd say 400rwhp reliably. There are many on here with TBSS's that can give you their experiences though.

With a few modifications you can have that trans supporting the powerplant necessary to fulfill your dreams. Mid-12's are very doable in the TBSS. Great choice, I have been impressed from what I have seen of them.

It will hold stock for awhile, if you want it to be reliable have it built. It shouldn't be that expensive due to the fact that you already have 5 pinion planets, hardened input and output shafts. And if I were you, I would put a billet output shaft in there, its worth every penny, because when it breaks, the WHOLE trans is toast.

nice thanks everyone, im probably just gonna do it anyways and see what happens this is what i said about my car that i didnt wanna do alot to it then i fully built it, so ill probably eventually build the trans anyways, lol..... well thanks again
