Default Question for guys with 6-8 drops on 99-06 trucks

I have a 4/6 drop now and run 275/40/20 tires all the way around. I don't have any drivability problems out of it now, it's really no different then driving a car. I want to go to a 6/8 drop with 255/35/20 up front and 275/35/20 in the back. I'm just afraid that its then going to be hard to drive daily because my transmission c member only has just over 3" of clearance as is...

Anyone who actually drives with a 6/8 drop let me know your experience with it please.

You just section out 1" of the crossmember. You grind the welds down on the stock cap and use that to re cap once you section out that inch. Super easy. Then make some plates to brace it in. See my pics below of one I did. It's the best way the KP unit sucks!

Problem solved

Nice! I have been thinking of removing mine completely and making a new one out of 2" steel tube, because I'm also doing a 4l80e swap too. I have to make something anyways.
