I received my vigalanti tc for my 4l80e and it says to put an extra spring in the transmission pump.... Is this truely needed? What exactially does this do. I want to throw it together tomorrow, but am not sure if I'm ready to tackle taking the pump apart.

 

if they ask you to do it, then i would. the pump mod is pretty straight forward, take your time and youll be fine. otherwise take it to alocal trans shop

 

Call PI and ask for Terry, he can tell you for sure, dont talk to anyone else.

 

I think its to increase TC clutch pressure. I did it.

 

you NEED to do the mod,and it is to increase the TC clutch apply pressure.

 

K it's done. It wasn't as bad as I thaught.
