i am panning around 1000ish hp and my truck should weigh a good bit less than 4400lbs but i'm saying for 4400 for insurance..
i can get a REALLY good Glide brand new for a really good price.. but i don;t wanna waste money if it won't work..
so has anyone used a glide in a RCSB 2000 model?

glides suck imo in a small block powered vehicle, or a truck, it will be really lazy out the hole, th350 or 400 has a way better first gear, i ran a glide behind my 383 with a 3500 and i hated it, went back with 350. but on the other hand, had a glide behind the 468 in the nova, with a 4500, and it was nice especially only having to shift one time, alot more consistant.

to sum it all up, glides suck on the street, they actually make you feel slower because of the long first gear, will surely help with traction issues out of the hole, they always have and always will, but the other two trans i mentioned "seem" more fun out the hole because of the gearing, hence you spin more, but you did say 1000 ish hp, ......my opinions are based on a 425 hp 383 in a s10, and a 500 plus hp 468 in a 69 nova
