Default Please Help Diagnose- Trans issue

I'll try and be as detailed *** possible.

This is a re-man 4L60E, been in for 3-4 months now. Trucks is stuck, minus short headers, tune and exhuats/intake.

The issue started 3-4 days ago and has progressively gotten worse untill today, where it became borderline undriveable.

from a stop it is fine.

1-2 shift is fine.

2-3, and 3-4 upshifts are bad. the tach revs out and I have to feather the throttle to get it to engage.

3-2 downshift is terrible. revs all the way out like its in neutral, untill I let off the gas, it will finally engage.

maintaining a consistant crusie, the tranny does the hurky jurky. it bucks mildly. I either have to let off and coast, or accelerate gently, but constantly.

today the "transmission hot" wanring came on. I do not have a trans temp gauge.

Im wondering if the tranny is slipping or could it be a torque converter issue.

this is a stock re-man tranny with a stock converter. It is my daily driver and I just put this tranny in.

the trans was a reman, from a company that sells on ebay. It was $850, free shipping etc.

there is a warranty, but Im not sure how legit its gonna be.

Im (was) an ASE certified tech. However automatic trannies is where I have the least experience. I havent been a tech for 5 years. I can rebuild it if necessary. i do have the newest manuals and stuff downloaded.

what typically goes bad, is it the band, or the clutch packs?

I really wanted to build a beefed up tranny.

the reason I replaced it was because the output shaft grenaded. I had a shift kit, etc. I still have my Yank converter, but it needs to be sent in for a good checkup.

last time I checked, i had to buy a $3500 tranny to get the billet output shaft.

just looking for some suggestions/advice. Its inevitable Im gonna take this thing out in mt garage and tear it down, I might as well rebuild the core into something worthwhile. I do have a tight budget.
