pinion seal?

Which ever way you choose. don't forget to replace the pinion nut...or at least use some healthy lock tite

You'll probably need a 2 jaw puller to get the yoke off. The pinion nut is 1-1/4", so you'll need a socket that big. Also a pipe wrench to hold the yoke/pinion gear while tightening/loosening the pinion nut.

It wouldn't hurt to pull the cover and drain the fluid. Mark a few teeth to see the pattern. Replace the seal and check the pattern again to make sure everything is jive. Just for some added peace of mind.

yeah i got a new diff gasket, fluid and such too. figure ill do it all while im there. thanks man
