Default Busted transmission

Is my Tranny completely done for? The housing broke where the servo cover goes in. I'm not sure how, It wasnt hit or anything. I do have a shift kit but I have never heard of this before. I can still drive the truck it just leaks fluid now. Do I need a new Tranny?

I would start looking for a new case. That looks like trouble waiting to happen. May as well upgrade while you're at it.

It would be my guess that when you did the shift kit you did not get the snap ring groove cleaned out from debris. I have seen what has happened to you happen before. I would not recommend driving it like that. Maybe pull the cover and clean out the area where the snap ring will seat. Also clean the snap ring with some sand paper. Reinstall the cover and the snap ring. Put the open ends of the ring where the cracked area is. This might keep it from leaking and also from blowing the cover out. Just a thought and if it works that would be good for you. Vince

Well I took it to the stealership and they agreed that I need a new Transmission. I do have the extended warranty but the company don't want to cooperate without having the Transmission out of the truck and tore down so they can inspect everything. That whole process can take up to two weeks. The problem is I'm in Alabama and have to be back in Oklahoma by Monday. I'm active duty and my leave has ran out. I'm going to try to patch it like Vince said and have the warranty job done in Oklahoma. Thank you for your replies they have been helpful. If things go right I'll have a FLT level 3 put in when I get it done.
