Default Paddle shifter?

This is just too badass:

It looks like you have to have an aftermarket controller for the manumatic module to plug in to. I'm going to try to call/email them later and see if it can be made to work w/ a stock GM PCM. I want it in a bad way.

Dammit, answered my own question...

Q. Can the Shrifter™ be used WITHOUT an aftermarket transmission controller?

A. Technically, yes. If you are handy, you can splice the Shrifter™ electronics into modified wiring on your electronic transmission. This may allow you to perform basic shift changes with the Shrifter™. However, this may throw error codes from your factory PCM. Furthermore, without an aftermarket controller you will not be able to modify transmission parameters such as shift points, firmness, line pressure, etc. for true manu-matic function. Twist Machine, LLC does not support the Shrifter™ when used without an aftermarket controller. Furthermore, modifying the product's wiring to perform such a splice will void the warranty.

Man, I'd been thinking about this since I saw Steve's write-up in PHR a couple month's back. But like you, I wondered if there was anyway to do it without having the aftermarket controller.

I'd love something like that, I even have a TCI TCU it will plug right into. Not fond of losing my audio controls or airbag though...
I guess I have to make something and finally take advatage of that unused TCU feature already.

That does look badass. I like the slap shifter in the cupholder area though. That looked good to.
