Default P1870 opinions

So this is my first post. I bought a 2000 ECSB silverado 3 weeks ago. When I went to look at it the check engine light was on and the guy said it was emissions related. On the test drive it felt fine except the brakes were crap (warped rotors, pads almost done). Anyway, I bought it and on the hour ride home I noticed the harsh shifts. Get home and it has the P1870 code. So here's my questions. The truck has 150k miles on it so should I:

1) just fix the tcc valve bore with sonnax kit (had it diagnosed and it is in fact that)
2) put in transgo shift kit that also addresses the bore
3) transgo kit with corvette servo (could be too harsh?)
4) Sonnax line pressure kit with valve bore kit (read upping the pressure could be bad)

I haven't dropped the pan yet to see what it looks like in there but hopefully it's not bad. I would like firmer shifts but I don't want to break my neck or my 3 year olds when she rides with me. Also I've always had manual transmissions so this will be a first for me but I've been working on my own vehicles for 16 years so I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I also plan on a trans cooler at some point but just want to get to where I can drive it now. Any input would be appreciated.

Personally I would address the code with the Sonnax kit and see how everything else pans out with the truck.

At 150K miles you may end up inside the transmission sooner rather then later any way.

The only thing with the sonnax fix is the reamer is around $140.

A new one is... But if you were able to get a used one for a fraction or if a local shop would bore it for you and install the new valve for a reasonable price.

What about the Fitzall teckpack valve A74741QA for around $20 - $25???

I went ahead and bougt a kit off of ebay. It's called a "1870 code buster" kit (cheesy name). Anyway, it has the transgo sk4l60e kit, transgo heavy duty seperator plate, valve body gaskets, sonnax 1-2 & 3-4 pinless accumulators and sonnax pinless forward accumulator. I also ordered the corvette servo. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to try and install it or pay someone. Like I said before, I have little experience with auto transmissions (except filter and fluid change) and I've read that the transgo kit instructions are written for a expert installer.
