Yeah I still have the insulation there as much as possible, but on an EC there's duct work on the floor that goes to the rear passerger foot area under the front seats. I had to trim away a little more because of that, so that's how the cell phone got out.
I had to stop traffic too.

alright guys, i need some serious help on what yall had to do to get the clutch pedal in, i already cut my brake pedal in half. What all did you have to take off to get the hole cut and the clutch pedal in.

Take the pedal off the bracket for God's sake. You'll NEVER get it in there any other way.
There's two spring loaded pins that the pedal pivots from. Push them in (its hard to do) and it'll come off.
And yes the cell phone still worked.

Well I have to say you should have bought the whole pedal assembly. The only part that is a BITCh is the pedal install. You MUST make the steel plate to mount the pedals it is the strongest and best way in my opinion after doing this once. I am going to build my 2006 Silverado as well.
