Not very difficult. In my 4x4, I had to put it in piece by piece, ther wasnt enough room to put it in assembled, but I didnt have any problems getting the cover on. A little fluid leaked out, but not much, maybe 1/2 cup or so. Its no biggie, dont be freaked about it.

Cool, thanks White1. Some people say 20-30 min., while others say it's a PITA. We shall see.

what are the down sides to using the vette servo?

Would it be noticed at the dealership, voiding the warenty?

What do I need to know before rushing out and getting one? I am sure that not all vette transmission servo's are the same.

Yes All Of The Vette Servo's Are The Same, Thats Why There Called "vette"
Servo's, That Is The Same Servo As In The Vette Tranny, Even In The Ol 700r4 I Beleive, Its The Same. You Will Notice A Difference In The Vette Servo, As Far As Performance Wise. And Any Tranny Tech Thats Worth A Damn Can Tell The Difference In The Size Of The Srvo Apply Area From The Vette To Stock, And Its Really Easy To Install If You Know Anything About Trannys , And Not That Bad If You Dont. You Can Get Em Off Of Ebay From Oregon Performance Transmission, For Like 13$ Shipped, Plus There A Great Company

None, except for getting a little bit of tranny fluid in your arm pit if you do it under the truck on your back

Shouldnt, and it pretty mutch is a GM part. You can tell a difference, but you wouldnt notice if you werent looking for it.

Check out Oregon performance transmissions. The part is know as a Vette servo, anyone that knows anything about 4l60's knows about doing this mod.
