Default Opinions on 26" & 28" track tires??

has anyone done some comparison on what works better for them at the track with 4.10 gears??, either a 26"tire or a 28"tire?? I know there are quite a few people running some kickass times with the 26" but have they tried the 28" to see if it hleps?? I have some 26" e/t's for the track and I feel that I am loosing some on the topend?? I was really considering going with some 28" hoping it'll help out on the top end but after reading another thread here they suggested that the 26" will give you better results if traction is not an issue?? but how are the lighting guys getting away with running bigger tires then?? I believe they run 28-29" tires at the track but the tires are wider from what I se..

anybody??

this is what bluecajun5.3 posted on another thread...

"ap, n/a i think the 26" are fine. but on the spray or power adder, 28" would be better in my opinion."

seems like it kindof makes sense... lightnings and people with power adders have 28" tires or bigger...

26" D/Rs have just sucked for me since the nitrous install. I ran a best of 1.72 60ft on the BFGs without the gas, but now I'm stuck in the 1.9+ range with the spray. I'm moving on to the 28" M&H without a doubt on my Boyds.
