one good thing about most of my current plans is i will have stuff to sell along the way. the rims and tires i have now can go. the posi and 1350yolk on the 10bolt can go, my 4l80 stall can go. when i do the fuel cell i can sell the twin intank set up.

They definitely make hoods. I have a carbon fiber hood waiting to go on -- I bought it used and shipped direct to my body shop, but from what he tells me the entire hood is less than 20 lbs.
Those strong arms look really good, but Air Ride told me they don't make a pair that will fit on a torsion bar truck (according to them the lower a-arm mounts in a different place, something I was not able to confirm with anyone else, btw -- plus, by the time you add on everything you need -- and I added on a 4 link with bags hehe -- it gets to around $6k). I'd stick with coil-over's personally.

you can get fiber hoods all day long. I have never seen fiberglass fenders for our trucks though. I am not sure what your plans for the usefulness of the truck are but there is alot of weight reduction in the small things like glass. Switch to a lexan or similar product. All of the guts in your doors that make the windows roll up and down. You may want to look into a stepside bed as well.

I've found f'glass fenders for 99-02 Chevys, but no GMC's or 03+ Chevys.
