Heavy-Duty Needle Roller Pilot Bearing - 14061685

Is this pilot bearing what I will need to mate my L33 with the T56, or will it be too "Heavy-Duty" for my application?

Is this a dealer only part? How difficult is it to install?

Yes, the pilot bearing GM Part #14061685 is what I used in my 2004 ECSB T56 swap. It will also work well for your application. not very hard to install. Just use a socket about the same size as the outer bearing race of the pilot and hit it home.

Im attempting a T56 install into a TBSS and have some questions. Has anyone done this swap on a newer 5.3L or 6.0L with DBW and ran it with the automatic tune? If so does cruise control work in all gears? Did you leave the TCM connected and if so what gear did you tell the TCM it is in?
