Your truck does look sweet though, can't wait to get all my lowering parts installed, finally got my drop spindles in the mail today. Have an 06 RCSB 4X4 also, but only gonna go 2" front and either 4 or 5" in the back. Don't know whether i want it level or with a bit of a rake.

Drop spindles instead of keys will cure the bumpsteer problem. Looks good.

Yeah, I have marks, I'm going to try and buff them soon, you can only notice if you look close.

I've been looking into that, but I couldn't find anyone who said it helped any.
But its not that bad so I can deal with it for the time being, its only bad on really rough roads, and right now the frost is coming out of the ground, and the roads heave all to hell, a month from now they will smooth out again.

I would use spindles if I could, but I need to be able to use the 16" rims for the winter.

I love it man, looks awesome! I don't think that I'm gonna bring the rear of mine that low, but after seeing your truck, I'm really tempted. I've been wondering how Silverado SS shocks would work out for a lowered Z71, since the SS is already about 1.5 to 2" lower from the factory...will they bolt right in?

Come on, do it!

Not sure about the SS shocks though. What makes them lower from the factory? Are they missing those blocks between the leafs and the axle?

I would think SS rear shocks would be the same length as a regular 2wd. Now the front shocks on an SS might be shorter, I think they use different t-bar keys to get the front end lower.

The only way i'm going to get away with the rear being that low, is by adding overload air bags. Or if you don't haul anything it would be fine.

I don't haul a thing...except for an occasional case of beer I'm thinking that I'll be just around 2wd height when mine is done...about 3" from the keys up front, and 4" from removing the lift blocks and and adding the shackles. I gotta admit, that the idea of going even lower keeps growing on me...(especially after trying to load Teri into my truck tonight....she's at about 18 weeks give or take a donut...I mean day... )

I installed my new rear shocks this weekend. It rides a lot better now, no more bottoming. Now I just have to find time to install the slamair bags.
