Default chevy lean w/ droped shackes in here-->FIXED

i was bored this afternoon and couldn't help but noticed my truck does have the lean to the drivers side. (especially when there's lots of gas in the tank).

the truck is dropped 2/4, hotchkis springs up front and the beltech hangers/shackles kit in the rear. still running stock shocks all around.

anyways, what i went ahead and did was grind down the top of the back plate of the shackle enough to be able to put the bolt in the hole below the original place. since the bolt is long i had to cut a section off it to work.

after it was all done, put the truck back on the ground and went for a spin. came back and measured it and it was equal on both sides.

i'll try to take pics tomorrow so yall could better understand.

later...

From what I've seen, most GM trucks have a lean to the drivers side. It just starts to get more noticeable as we put them closer to the ground (lowering them).

My 06 Crew Cab is droped with a Mcgaughys 4/6 kit and it also leaned on the drivers side about 3/4" so i just bought 1/2" lift shackles from summitracing.com for like 50$ and just put one on the left rear and it evened it all out, and only took 2 13/16 wrench's and about 10 min and i was done!!
Belltech part number 6404...

With this not being a option on S-10's I just take and cut some off the passenger side coil up front to help level it out.

It sounds like you just dropped the drivers side 3" in the back and left the passenger side at 4" correct?

Many people who have flip kits will put a shackle on the passenger side to lower it 1" more and it evens the truck out. Or like said above, you could put a lifting shackle on the drivers side and it will even out.

I fixed mine using a taller spring on the
driver's side. Now it's all even.

ya mine sits a little uneven also. i cant tell at all by looking at it; but it know its uneven because i can fit 4 fingers between the tire and finder on the passengers side and only 3 on the drivers
