noob question on stall

i know i know, try seraching and i did first couldnt find it, question being is how a 3000 stall acts under normal driving condtions, like if im goin say 20 and i accelerate normaly will the truck not move at all untill 3000 or will it still move close tho it did at stock but when you hammer it it jumps to 3000

Yes.
Depending on whos stall from what i gather. I have a Yank TT3000. When i roll on the throttle i will move, but the converter is slipping. When throttled up good the rpms go right to 3000. It's fine around town but real fun on the highway!

what about freeway driving once a month I drive to california from las vegas, 300miles. doing about 85mph my rpms are about 2500 if i got a 3000 stall how would it act, drive, would my trans heat up because its not at 3000 or will it feel sluggish. im just afraid of ruining my trans

Highway driving, as long as you got a performance convertor that has a lockup clutch. It will act exactly like stock on highway driving. Getting a non-lockup convertor is not something you want on a daily driver.

your rpms on the highway will increase about 2-300 though. this is due to the the fact that with the stall there is less rpm drop between shifts. i once cruised 65 @ 1800 now at 2000 and 70 @2300
