Default No Fuel ???????

I am swapping an 04 5.3 out of a tahoe in place of a 4.3 in a 2000 GMC. I have a question on what to do with the fuel lines. Will they need to be replaced all the way to the tank, or is there some way of adapting the fuel rail?

Are you going from return style to returnless?

I honestly dont know the difference, whatever the stock fuel system is on a 2000 GMC 4.3, how do you tell the difference?

I'm guess both are return style since they both have 3 lines, one evap line, one feed, and a return??

Yea, the 00' is a return system. Im pretty sure the 04' will be returnless, not sure though.

Two fuel lines is return style, one line is for extra fuel to return to the tank. Returnless has one line.

The is a Corvette fuel filter you can run so it cancels the second line where the filter goes. You have two lines from the tank but the both merge at the fuel filterm sending only one line to the intake manifold.

My problem is, that the stock fuel lines have a screw on mating behind the intake, where the V8 fuel lines have the quick disconnect style mating. I need to figure out how to remedy this... sorry for not being specific enough.

I see. Let me dig through my book marks. All you need is about 4-8 inches of line and some adapter fittings.

You need each of these fittings. Russell Performance 640850, Russell Performance 640860 and Summit SUM-220009. All on Summit's web site.

The extra length of hose will connect the quick connects to the saginaw fittings.

That's what I was thinking, but I wanted it to look stock.

I have the cut fuel lines that came with the motor, they were cut at the frame so I'm guessing I can just cut and flare those with the saginaw fittings.
