what I think he was trying to say is there is no SOLID front axle from 1988, which I don't think is true, I think you could get an old style Suburban up till '92, but I'm not enitrely sure. What our 4x4s have is a centersection that has the differential, and than there is a CV axleshaft that goes to each wheel.

Most pick ups stoped with the body style and sfa in '87 the surburban k5 blazer and the crewcabs kept the old body style and sfa untill '91

i don't think so he said there is NO AXLE OF ANY KIND, twice
if i'm not mistaken there are two constant velocity drive axles attached to the axle shafts in the front axle and/or differencial assembly
am i wrong

i know i have no tires i sold them so i could buy my high performance teflon coated titaniam muffler bearings to keep my 12 inch stainless steel duck fart exhaust tips from seizing up when i use my hydrogine peroxide after burner, besides i like the pretty sparks my rims make, it looks cooler than that wimpy smoke from those useless rubber dounuts
