Default new trans slipping or missing shift

well i finally got my truck back on the road and on the test drive it seemed fine until i accelered hard and it went to up shift to 2nd and its like it went in neutral and hit the rev limter twice real fast. Has any one else have this with a brand new tran and shiftkit and converter.( when i say brand new it really is)

i installed the trans but a local tran guy did the kit

was this a custom built trans or just a stocker with the kit? maybe you coincidentally blew the tranny right after you got the kit installed. weird that it does it from 1-2 not 3-4 cuz thats usually where they blow, maybe this trans guy...ha ha like transvestite... anyways, maybe he messed something up or put in a spring wrong or forgot something i dunno
