new slave cylinder with new clutch install?
#1
As the title says, is it usually recommended to install a new slave cylinder when putting in a new clutch? Kinda extra insurance that nothing is gonna crap out in the future type of thinking. Or are they pretty reliable and can be used again for another 90k miles?

I recommend replacing it at the same time as the clutch, simply because you are already there. Especially if you are paying a shop to do the job, labor gets expensive when you have to pay 2 times.

Awesome, y'all convinced me.
I'm tallying the bottom line for a junkyard 5-spd replacement with new clutch and stuff versus a T56 swap. My tranny truly is on the way out, but if I can baby it around a bit more and save up some $$ in the mean-time I'd rather swing the 6-speed since that's what I want in the long run anyway.
