Default new rims

thinking about some rims, 18x9's with a 285/50/18 toyo proxes st, or maybe a Nitto 404, how do you think they would fit because im wanting the sidewall to be nice and square with the tread and rim, no bulging. let me know if any of you guys have the same tires and what size rim your running them on and throw in a pic too if you got it, here are the rims i've been eyeballin...

yeah i talked to him and he said his rims were 8.5 inch width, do you think that a nine inch width would make a difference?

and what does iirc mean?

Depending on the brand, 275s or 285s should be close to flush on a 9" wheel. Wheels look nice. Looks like a offroad offset pictured which would stick out a little, order accordingly.

Hey,

I have proxes 285/60/18....on 18"x8", it bulges a little but it looks awesome. I wouldn't go 50 series myself, doesn't fill the wheel wheel enough imo. 9" should be pretty flush. I think toyo says you can go up 10" wheel with the 50 series 285.

If I Remember Correctly(IIRC)
you should be pretty close to square with a 9" thats not much of a bulge on his rim
If your stock height i would think about a 285/60 or 55

thanks for all the responses guys, my truck is lowered by a torsion bar untwist up front and i removed the block in the back and added a shackle, i want to add a lowering spindle up front and add the lowering hanger in back. i think that would give me a total of 3 and a half inches up front and 6 inches lower in the back (from stock) thats why i was going to go with a smaller diameter tire, and the rims are 18x9 with a +30mm offset, which is a 6 inch back space which should look pretty good, i dont think that they will stick out at all, i was mostly worried about the rims looking too wide for the tire but you guys have re assured me that it wont.

I would go with a 285/50 or 275/55 the 275/55 is a little taller and will help fill in the wheel wells
