Looks like you have to use theirs, the mounts are built into the frame rails they supply.

 

Glad to see they are still developing stuff for the GMT800. I presume the system will be for a predetermined height as I do not see any adjustment in the bracketry. I know ridetech's focus is on handling and keeping the control devices closer to wheel helps with this. However, being a leaf spring replacement outside the frame does very little for adding wider wheels/tires. I am curious to see this system installed and put thru it's paces for a review on the handling/ride improvements over leaf springs or even their existing four link.

 

Kind of what I told John at Ridetech. His truck was the test mule. He said they tried moving the shocks inside the rails and the dynamics were all wrong. I asked how much tire it would take with this set up and he has not replied yet. I am thinking 315s at best. I was hoping for 345s

Guess I might just back half the thing We'll see

 

Any kit ride tech makes can have an altered ride height if you change shock mounts OR coilover size, spring height, spring rate, valving..
It all depends on why you’re purchasing their kit.

Fitting wide wheels to go fast in a straight line was not their objective.

 

You are correct. I mostly want the wide wheels for appearance. I rarely drag race. But I would be nice to use all that space up to the frame rail.

 

You have to consider the wheel wells are also a limiting factor. To put a tire all the way to the frame would require mini-tubbing the wheel wells too.

 

Already bought those Just need to install them.
