had yukon's that were a little noisey. had some richmonds that would run you out of the truck. put motives in a buddy's truck and never heard a sound. replaced my noisey richmonds w/ some gm's. the cheaper the gear the noisier it will be. all of the gears sets above were set up perfect and triple checked by 3 different people.

I'm hoping to have things up and running by next weekend for Mason....
exactly how loud is it? can you hear it over the radio?

Add me to the list of a Yukon gear owners with properly set up gears with a good pattern that have noise. Mostly on coasting and cruising around 60.

Should have spent the extra $40 on some AAMs. $40 is nothing.

I guy I work with always says, "The thrill of a bargain is gone long before the bitterness of poor quality subsides." So true.

My Yukons whine only a little from 55-60 and I know they were set up fine. Some gears just make some noise, regardless of their quality. Everything should be fine though. Try pinpointing the sound like BudHayes said. It most likely won't sound like it's necessarily from the rear end, it will most likely be reverberating through the bed and cab and make it sound like something under or around you.

Those come from Ron's as well. Honestly none of us thought about that portion of the purchase. If I knew for a fact the gears would whine i would have requested the other brand.

No complaints on his service and prices. Just wasn't aware of the different brands he had.
