Default Need Shocks '05 1500 CC

OK. The front shocks on this truck are wayyy too soft. It has a coil spring front end and I can't seem to find shocks for it. Is this front end similar to any other truck? All I can find is torsion bar suspension. Does the 1500 CC have it's own design? Any help would be nice.

I may end up putting on stiffer springs if the shocks don't take care of the wallowing.

I have the same truck in 4X4, I don't have the mushy feel you describe. You may look at putting the Z71 shocks on for a little stiffer ride. Not sure, but I think they are the same 2wd and 4wd.

I don't think you do. 2wd have coils while 4wd have torsion bars. I like my bilsteins but have heard edlebrocks are sweet for 2wd.

Either of those 2 shocks would be a good choice. I have heard good things about both of them. I've been looking at new shocks as well and I'm going with either the Bilsteins or the Edelbrocks. I think the Edelbrocks cost more, but you get what you pay for when it comes to shocks.

Glad to hear that I'm not alone.

So is it the consensus that shocks for 99-05 2wd coil spring trucks are all interchangeable?

I just got the Edelbrock IAS shocks in front and rear and love them. I have a 2wd 2000 extended cab if it helps.
