So I've decided to boost my 1999 silverado. Unknown miles on 5.3 and the tranny, but my budget gives me room to swap out both. I want to daily it at the end of the build and would like something somewhat reliable. Should I first go through the process of swapping a 4l80e to begin with? And also what turbo kits are reccomended ? looking for 12s 1/4s

 

Boosted reliability? Swap to a built 4L80E or if you'd prefer more gears and a manual, a ZF650.
