Need help ASAP- loud scraping on start up, new flexplate
#1
I installed a new B&M Flexplate from Summit. Torqued to specs, in sequence. No impact used. Used red loctite. When bolting up the converter, it pulled the converter to the flexplate little, but not much.
started the truck up and it has a loud scraping/screeching sound from the bellhousing.
Pulled the starter and inspection cover and had a friend rotate the crank by hand. Looks like the flexplate is wobbling and off by about 1/8"-1/4"
is this enough to cause an issue, or should I be looking for something else.
only other thing I see is what looks like heavy markings on the teeth of the new flexplate in the direction it's spunk by the starter.
I don't want to pull the trans again if I don't have to, I'm ****** worn out.

I have the same issue after installing my 3200 it's makes that noise then goes away after 10 seconds. I think I have it pin pointed to my exhaust since I had to cut the y pipe and re weld it. Looks like my intermediate pipe moved or something and its hitting the underside of my truck.
