Ok so I got the TCI 80e flexplate installed and the converter setup with an 80e pattern but now my issue is with the pilot.. It won't reach up in to the crank, so I put on the extension that came with the flexplate and it won't seat all the way in the crank and on the tc at the same time it has about 3/8 of an inch play in it front to back...

Measure the pilot length, which is the distance the pilot extends past the converter pads. Also check the overall converter height again.
