Need advice once again with tranny
#1
I have a 05 4l80E with an old school HD2 shift kit with gear command and vacuum modulator. I installed 100% of the shift kit so all pump mods and internal springs were done. I also replaced the internal harness with a 03 style harness, and put a new MLP switch on the shift side. I bought a new edge racing converter to go with the set up stalled at 4000. Now for the fun part when you put the truck in gear it feels like the breaks are on, you can feel it go in gear but it will not move enough to use. You can almost full rev the truck and still no movement. What are your ideas tranny or converter?

i've got a mid loose Edge 3750. I mean it will rev but by 2k the truck is moving. My truck will start to move before the stall rpm it has, but i can break stall way past 3500rpms. I think if you don't move by 4k, you may have a tuning issue? Maybe something isn't installed right?

You definatley have a cross leak somewhere. Possibly damaged rings on the input shaft and valve body cross leak. Since the only thing you did was install the shift kit I would go back through that first,
Maybe a damaged gasket, broken or torn sealing riings,I have also seen a unit do that with a stuck PR valve making 300-400 PSI literally bypassing everything and applying everything at once.
Might not be a bad idea to get a presure guage on it and see what thats looking like first.
