Ok, 3 moths ago my tranny took a **** and swapped a tranny out of another silverado. I had a bigger band installed, servo, extra clutch packs and TCI deep pan. I also had a low mile V6 converter installed with the tranny. Since the converter had oil I only added 5 quarts when finished. Well I got on it and the truck took off but not like it used to. RPMs goes up fast but my MPH cant keep up. Its it the converter? tranny? or the TVS?
PS. When driving my tranny temp got up to 180 with normal driving. I now installed a Tru Cool and has only gone up to 160 but still feels real sluggish

I've always been told to never use a used converter, you never know whats in there. At the minimum you need to have it professionally cleaned.
On your speedo, is the issue just at take off? If so, I heard that the speedo stays at zero momentarily if it flashes higher than stock.
