Thumbs down Muthafuggin' Ball Joint Rivets!

I'm finally getting around to installing my spindles. Everything was a breeze getting apart save for a stuborn brake rotor. I've drilled out all 4 rivets to about 1/4" and I've only managed to get one out. I'm currently beating the crap out of them with various BFH's and chisels, and nothings budging.

Any tips or tricks I can do so I can get on with my life? Should I drill bigger? I've already ground the top and bottom of all the rivets off. The truck looks pretty bad with a 0/4 drop.

drill bigger.

i dont necessarily have any experience on the ball joint rivets but any other rivet ive dealt with, you just drill out the center and then beat it out with a pointed object in the center

McGaughy's spindles. I'm affraid to drill bigger, because I don't want to mangle the control arm or ball joint. Does anyone know the size of the rivet?

i have always used a air hammer with a chisel bit and busted the head off the rivets and then used a punch bit to knock them through.

Cut an x on the head (i used a dremel) and if you have a air hammer insert a chisel bit wack the head off (lol) then take a punch bit and pop the rest of the rivet out...

EDIT ( LOL gmtech and i were typing at the same time)

How big are the bolt holes on the new spindles. You can drill them out to at least that size.

Drill, hammer, chisel, hammer again. Chisel some more, air hammer a little. Damn things will pop out eventually.
