Default 6.0L for $1500?

I just got my sts turbo kit back on after a somewhat costly oil leak and I was a friends house today after a little racing. I was talking to my friends dad and he was telling me that he knew where a silverado with a 6.0L in was wrecked and that the engine was all there and was for sell...I've only got a 4.8 in my silverado right now and I'm really considering buying this engine. I'm just kind of weary about it being out of a wrecked truck though...but, then again, there's no replacement for displacement. What do you guys think???

Nothing wrong at all with a wrecked vehicle's drivetrain if it isn't externally damaged. Check the mileage and go for it. These motors are stout and don't wear much anyway. That is a fair price too I believe.

If it comes with the wiring harness, VCM and under 65k miles then it's a good deal

1500$ is good if it comes with harness and all acc., and intake
600-700$ for long block if it was running
