Default To much transmission fluid??

Looks like i overfilled my transmission by a good bit.. about a inch or 2 past the hot mark.. Do i need to drain out some? that drain plug is a booger.. any ideas??

Definitely Drain It....

Taht I Believe Is Gonna Be A Quart Possibly More Over... That Is Way To Much... And Could Come Pourin Out

dumb question but could i siphon it out of the dipstick?? drain bolt is giving me some problems..

I doubt it, the dipstick tube doesn't extend down into the fluid. You might be able to find some thin hose to put down the tube though.

And as stated above, if it's too full it will vent out the top of the trans and cover the entire underside of your truck with tranny fluid. Guess how I know...

Yes you can but be prepared to sit awhile! I did that by buying a hose small enough to fit in the dipstick tube and let it siphon. Took about 10 min/pint. Have a clear container so you can see how much you've pulled cause trans fluid tastes like when you have to start the siphon again.

Think tranny fluid taste bad, try swallowing gasoline lol. I had an idiot moment.. Burps tasted like gasoline for a full day!

how do you check fluid if you have deep pan? i have deep pan and want to change to synthetic, but i have no idea how many quartz to put it in.
i know that stock pan eats like 8quartz...

Basically It Should Still Hit The Same Part On Your Dipstick... Call The Manufacturer... Or Go On There Website And It Should List How Many Extra Quarts Capacity It Adds.... Start There... That Should Get You Close

Drill a little hole on the outside part of the drain bolt (dont drill into the pan obviously) then use a hammer and punch to spin the bolt loose. I've had to do this twice now, f**king lousy bolt. Good thing they're like 3 bucks each.

My brother bought a cool little pump and pumped out what I didnt need.. thanks for the help guys.. sure runs better on the right amount of fluid
