Do any of you think that this would hold true for a 97 z71 transfer and diffs? I will be doing a turbo 408/ 4L80E combo next year, and have been wondering if the transfer and the front axle more so than the rear would hold up to the 600whp abuse.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it's the same transfer case that's in the newer trucks. New Venture Gear, or New Process Gear or whatever. Someone needs to back me up on this though.

I remember seeing a site one time that had the NP246 (I think that's the Autotrac case) rated at something like 2500lb-ft. I tried to find it again but couldn't.

Yep, there badass little t-cases, when my truck had 35's with 3.73's it would pull the left front tire off the ground a few inches when manually shifting from 1st to 2nd in 4Lo
