#1
Well I basically got e 80e for free from a buddy of mine .. Had it built .. Nt sure exactly what's in it but basically everything but hard parts .. Guy that built it said it should be good for 800hp lolllll .... Also ordered a yank ss 3600 to go along with it ... Still have the 3.42 gear for now..planning on a 3.90 .....how will the small gear play out in the mean time until I gear up ???... Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome ...... Should be rolling in about a week or so ....

I love my 4.10s and 29in tire with my 80. The circled 3600 is pretty nasty in every gear. I am not sure if i would like any smaller of a gear NA, not FI is a different animal.

I'm running 3.42's and 80e N/A. I think I would like 3.73 better for the street. I had 4.10's but it was too much gear for highway driving. I take my truck to school so I needed something tame for the highway.

For you maybe... I am well aware of where my tranny shifts and my cruising rpm. I would notice it for sure. You don't have to go from 3.08's to 4.56's to feel the difference or to get the extra mid to top range rpm/mph characteristics your looking for in your application.

ok guess i wrote that without really thinking about it..
I should have said the difference between the 3.42 and 3.73 isnt worth the money to change if your already running one or the other.
Or atleast for me it wouldnt anyway.
it depends on your tire size also, im running a 30.5" so my Rpms are 2000@70 which is ok. My next tires are goin to be 32" so my Rpms should be around 1850@70.
